◈ Subject of the Contest: World Heritage Cities, where we want to live, where we want to visit

                                e.g.Enhancement of residential spaces, Adaptability of the built heritage, Affirmation of a new governance etc.

◈ Eligibility for Participation:

An individual undergraduate or graduate students (regardless of the major); or,

A team consisting of up to 3 undergraduate or graduate students (regardless of the major)

Please not that for graduate students, the eligibility is limited to the students in a Master’s program.

More Specific Eligibility Criteria for Graduate Students

A graduate student may apply to enter this contest if:

he or she is either currently in a Master’s program(regardless of the major); or,

no more than one(1) year has passed since the completion of his or her graduate program.

For a graduate student in a combined Masters and PhD program, the applicant should be either in the first(1st) or second(2nd) year of his or her combined Master’s and PhD program.

- The application form, your thesis proposal and necessary documents (attached file). The application window is open from March 21st, 2022, 09:00 a.m. and March 24th, 2022, 23:55 p.m.

◈ Procedures and Timelines of the Youth Forum (All dates and times are in Korean Standard Time, unless indicated otherwise)

• Submission of the application form and thesis proposal:   From Mar. 21st, 2022 to Mar. 24th, 2022, 23:55 p.m. 

• 1st Evaluation and Selection:                              March. 28th, 2022 (tentative)

• Online Expert Feedback:                                  April 14th, 2022 (tentative)

• (For selected applicants only) Submission of a Thesis:     From June 13th, 2022  to June 16th, 2022, 23:55 p.m.

• Translation of a Thesis and Thesis Evaluation:                 July 4th, 2022 (tentative)

• Announcement of Forum Presenter:                                 July 5th, 2022 (tentative)

• Submission of Forum Presentation Slides:                       July 19th, 2022

• Presentation in the online Youth Forum (Eng):                 July 21st, 2022

• Participation in the overseas program :                            From September 6th, 2022 to September 9th, 2022.(Eastern time) / OWHC World Congress in Quebec City, Canada

*For now, only the Grand-prix winner (the individual, or the team leader if a Grand-prix winner is a team) is planned to participate in the overseas program. However, the overseas program may be cancelled, or the details of it may change due to COVID-19 or other changes.

◈ Prizes

* A thesis can win only one prize and its associated benefits. For a team project, the prize money will be wired to the team leader’s bank account. The certificate will have the team’s name on it.

* For international participants from outside of Republic of Korea, the prize money will be converted to the United States Dollars before it is wired to the recipient’s bank account, if applicable.

※ A thesis cannot be submitted, or will be deemed invalid, if:

- it has already won a prize or award in other contest(s);

- it has already been presented in other seminar(s);

- it has already been published in other publications(s); or,

- it has been found out to have committed plagiarism.
