Organization of World Heritage Cities Asia-Pacific Regional Secretariat(OWHC-AP) opened its doors in the 2013 in Gyeong-ju, Republic of Korea. Hence OWHC-AP could represent the voice of the World Heritage Cities in Asia-Pacific Region in the organization which mainly composed of cities in Europe or America.

World Heritage is a channel that connects the past, present and future. It possesses Outstanding Universal Value which should be descended onwards to our upcoming generations and this is a common responsibility that should be carried out by everyone, not simply limited to that of a single person, municipality or country. The Organization of World Heritage cities was founded to this grand objective and is expanding its efforts to create and floor for open dialogue to face the current issues we have with our World Heritage, based on our keen and interactive relationship.

OWHC-AP will proceed on our journey in providing a sustainable model for World Heritage cities that is particularly focused on the life of local communities and World Heritage through accumulated knowledge and information shared amongst member cities.

We hope to see many more attention and affection towards our organization.
